Home Sweet Home!

Wow! This blog entry is really overdue...you would think we just had triplets or something!! I'll back track and start where I left off. Tuesday March 9th was the day of the surgery and I was extremely anxious. Never having surgery before I had no idea what to expect, and I had just spent a week in the hospital with a blood clot. So I had a lot of time on my hands to think about it.
Despite my nervousness it was time for surgery. Rick and I could barely wait to meet these little guys. What would they look like? How much would they weigh? How much time would they need to spend in the NICU? All these questions and so many more raced through our minds!

We would like to officailly introduce in birth order......

These beautiful baby boys were born into this world perfectly healthy and we couldn't feel more blessed! From the beginning of the pregnancy we expected them to be early and that they would need spend at least some time in the NICU.
Being able to carry them until 36 weeks made all the difference in the world! Our baby boys didn't have to spend a moment in the NICU! We couldn't of dreamed of a better outcome!!
I was in the hospital for an additional week recovering and was able to come home Tuseday March 16th. Being away from my children was one of the most difficult things I've had to endure so it was a breath of fresh air to come home.
We surprised Hannah, Noah & Reilly with our return & they were so excited that Mommy & their new baby brothers were finally home!
Everything has been going really well since being home. The babies have been on the same eating and sleeping schedule for the most part, which has been wonderful. Hannah , Noah & Reilly have adjusted amazingly well and adore their baby brothers.
Rick and I after trial and and error have come up with a great overnight schedule which allows both of us to get sufficant rest. I have been going to bed by 8 pm and relieving Rick by 12:30ish so he can then get 5-6 hours of sleep before going to work. I have been able to also get an additional 2-3 hours overnight!! I don't think I got more sleep when Reilly was born!
We had our first pediatrician appointment last Friday & Chase and Reece were back up to birth weight. Logan who was 4lbs 12oz was up to 5lbs 1oz. These babies can eat!! They are all drinking between 2 & 3 oz per feeding and I am able to nurse as well. It was a slow start but each day I am able to increase how often I nurse each of them.
Rick and I have so many people to thank!
We want to start by thanking Everyone from FAHC Fetal Maternal Medicine. We have had such a wonderful experience and can't thank you all enough. Thank you Dr. Meyer and the delivery team!
A big thank you to the nursing staff in Shep-5. You all were so amazing and I couldn't have recovered as quickly without you!! Thank you for taking such good care of our babies as well!
Thank you Hubie & Sherry and those of you who helped with the kids while I was in the hospital!
A huge thank you to all our old friends and new. Rick and I can't thank you enough for all your time. We truly could not do this without all your love and support.
Thank you all for the delicious meals, we can't tell you enough how much we appreciate your kindness. It has been so helpful to not have to worry about making diner as we settle in.
There are so many people we want to thank but couldn't even try to name names because we wouldn't want to leave anyone out.
We feel so blessed to have all of you in our lives.....THANK YOU!
Thank you Rick for being such a wonderful and loving husband......I love you!
Thank you Hannah , Noah & Reilly for all your hugs and kisses, I am so lucky to be your mommy!!
My Dear friend and photographer Melissa Brott came over this week & took newborn pictures of the triplets. Brace yourself.........they are so beautiful!!!!! I have left out the photos we will use for the birth announcement. We will post these once the announcements are out. Thanks M!

The babies are coming!

Hi Everyone! I have made it through a week in the hospital. The nurses and everyone involved in my stay here have been amazing! We're scheduled for the cesarian tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 11am. We are getting so excited to meet the triplets! It will truly become a reality in just a few short hours. Rick was able to come & visit tonight & we talked a little more about names......the jury is still out though!! Tomorrow is officially the 36 week mark and truly a milestone! We can't wait to see how much they weigh! WE are hopeful that they will spend little to no time in the NICU. We'll just have to wait & see. I know you will all be anxious to see pictures & can't wait to share some with all of you. I hope to post a couple tomorrow evening but it may be sometime on Wenesday.
We will be in touch soon.....please put us in your prayers:)
Much love xoxoxo

Update!

I had my 35 week Dr. appointment yesterday & the babies look great. However, due to a detected blood clot in my leg they decided to admit me early in the hospital. It's important that I am on blood thinners for a period of time to lesson any risk associated with the clotting & my upcoming cesarian. I had several close contractions last night but they have subsided which is great so I have more time on the medication. I miss my kids like crazy already! Due to the Flu season I am only alowed two visitors or support people during my stay. One of which is my husband. I've been told I can go down to the lobby & see my children though, which is amazing. I could'nt imagine not seeing them for over a week.
If I don't go into labor before hand the delivery could be Friday earliest, but likely to be on Monday or Tuesday. I will keep you all posted on anything new. I can't thank you all enough for your love & support......much love!!!
